Getting started

Set up your first plan.

Add a person, create or import their events, then ask someone to handle a pickup or drop-off. Here's how to get started.

01 / START

A calendar for each person

Open Calendar → Add person, or open the People tab. Add the child or adult whose trips you're planning. Their calendar starts private. You can add events yourself or import a schedule.

02 / CONNECT

Bring the schedule in

Open Calendar → Add calendar, or Settings → Calendars & routines → Connections. For Google Calendar, connect your Google account, choose a calendar and the person whose schedule it belongs to, preview the events, then confirm. For GameChanger, copy the team's official Schedule Sync link, paste it into Connections, choose a person, and review the preview.

You can also select and preview events from iPhone Calendar. New imports start without pickup or drop-off trips; add the trips you need in the event editor.

Imports do not change your original calendars. If you have trouble connecting one, contact support.

03 / SHARE

Invite the people who help

In Calendar, select a person and tap Share → Invite by email. You can also open People → select a person → Manage sharing. Give each helper the access they need. They sign in and accept the invitation. The separate Invite to PickMeUpTime action helps someone start an account; it does not share a calendar.

04 / ASK

Assign a pickup or drop-off

Add an event in Calendar, or open an existing event and tap Edit. Choose a helper for each trip, or choose Not needed. Drop-off defaults to the event start and pickup to its end. Tap a trip time to adjust it; that adjustment follows later event-time changes. Save the plan when it is ready. You can add a local pickup plan to an imported event without editing its Google or GameChanger source.

Adults who have accepted calendar sharing can also open an event they can see and request a pickup or drop-off from the organizer or another accepted adult on that calendar. This works with read-only access too. Each person you ask must accept or decline; requesting one trip does not confirm the other.

A trip is confirmed when the person you asked accepts it. Until then, it still needs a reply.
05 / CONFIRM

Accept or decline

The person you asked opens Inbox → Needs your response or the event, reviews the trip date, time and details, then accepts or declines. They can add a note. The calendar organizer and editors see the response. If the source schedule changes, the pickup or drop-off may need confirmation again.

06 / STAY INFORMED

Notifications and email

Choose how far ahead you want reminders in Settings → Assistant & reminders and enable phone alerts on your device. Verify your email address to receive trip requests, replies and reminders by email. You do not need to enable the AI assistant for these messages. Email and phone alerts can be delayed, so check the event for the current plan.

The optional Email assistant can answer schedule questions or propose changes after you verify your address and turn on AI email assistance. You review and confirm each suggested change before it is saved. Read more in our privacy notice.

07 / AT A GLANCE

Put Today on your Home Screen

On iPhone, open Settings → Assistant & reminders → Today widget and turn on Show Today on this iPhone. Touch and hold your Home Screen, choose Edit → Add Widget and search for PickMeUpTime. Choose the small or medium widget.

The widget shows your next event and trip plan, including confirmed helpers and trips that still need a reply. It can display names and event titles on your Home Screen, so enable it only if you are comfortable showing those details there.

Open the app for the current plan. Check the widget’s update time; saved plans expire after 15 minutes. Signing out turns the widget off and removes its saved schedule.

Try it with a sample plan
